The Iowa Mennonite School track teams were young teams this year.

Senior Riley Schmeider,  the lone senior on the team, summed up her track career with a great performance in Des Moines on Thursday. Schmeider medaled in the 3000 meter run with a seventh place finish. Her time of 11:18.35 is 10 seconds better than her previous season best time, which was recorded at the state qualifying meet last week in Wayland.

Sophomore Drake Brezina capped off his track season with a good performance in the long jump, leaping at 19 feet and 3.5 inches. His jump was his second personal best placing him 18th out of 24 jumpers in Class 1A.
