A two vehicle accident happened Thursday morning on Highway 218. At approximately 7:33 a.m. a car accident happened in the northbound lanes of Highway 218, just south of G36. According to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, airbags in a Ford Taurus had deployed.
The two drivers involved in the collision were Dawn Evans of Swedesburg and Robert Raymer of Anamosa. Evans was cited for failure to stop at an assured and clear distance.
No injuries were reported and damage was estimated at over $1,500.
