The Washington County fuel contract for Fiscal Year 2015-2016 was awarded to a local company. Washington County Engineer Jacob Thorius stated at yesterday’s Washington County Board of Supervisors meeting that two bids were received and the low bid came from Cobb Oil, Inc. of Brighton.

Thorius explained the contract is for the delivery of an estimated 180,000 gallons of fuel the department will use over the year. The cost margin from Cobb Oil is $1502, $88 less than the other bid received. Fuel will be paid for separately.
