Two snow plows and a truck will be purchased for the City of Washington. A new 2015 V-8 double cab Dodge pick up truck for $24,726 was approved with a 4-1 vote. The truck was the lowest bid and will come from Stew Hansen Dodge City Jeep in Urbandale.

The city council unanimously approved the purchase of two snow plows which will attach to trucks for a total cost of $12,600. The cost includes installation. A surplus of $7,550 was reported at the end of the snow season, after all salt expenses had been paid.
