The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk girls’ soccer team (2-1) traveled to Columbus (1-2) last night. The Golden Hawks prevailed in overtime with a score of 1-0.

Senior Sage Becker got the assist and senior Ashley Miller scored the goal to seal the win. Miller already has five goals on the season. Senior keeper Cassidy Bontrager had a solid performance with 22 saves for the day.

Mid-Prairie will turn around and come back to play at home today as they take on Cedar Valley Christian (1-1). Game time is 4:30 p.m. at the Wellman Recreation Complex.
