The Mid-Prairie girls’ and boys’ golf teams competed in a dual meet against Durant yesterday.
The Golden Hawk girls’ golf team hosted and lost to Durant scoring 241 team points to Durant’s 234. Junior Allyson Wertz was meet medalist with a nine hole score of 47. Rounding out the scoring for the Golden Hawks were sophomore’s Olivia Nisly with 60, Cassidy Bender and Lindsey Palmer with 67 each, freshman Paige Slabaugh with 70 and sophomore Tiffany Fisher with 83.
The Golden Hawks will travel to Columbus tonight for a triangular meet with Columbus and Washington. Meet will take place at 4 p.m. at the Cedar Crest Country Club.
The Mid-Prairie boys’ traveled to Durant in a dual meet where they lost to the Wildcats 170-213. The Golden Hawks were led by sophomore Duncan McCain, who shot a season best at 47. The Golden Hawks will travel to Washington for a triangular with the Demons and the Columbus Wildcats. The match is set to begin at 4 p.m. at the Washington Golf and Country Club.
