Several Mount Pleasant residents are facing prison time for their alleged role in a meth manufacturing operation. Multiple law enforcement agencies searched a residence at 1643 Wapello Drive on Thursday, leading to the discovery and seizure of multiple “one pot” methamphetamine labs, meth and weapons. According to the Henry County Sheriff’s Office, the search followed a six month joint narcotics investigation into the production of meth.
Forty-five-year-old Jason Vanzile and 41-year-old Rebecca Cline, who live at the residence, are in custody and charged with manufacturing methamphetamine, a class B felony. Vanzile is also charged with possession of a firearm by a felon, a class D felony. Forty-year-old Sheila Lewman, 40-year-old Billy McKinney and 18-year-old Terrance Howard of Mount Pleasant were also arrested and face a felony charge of conspiracy to manufacture methamphetamine.
The Henry County Sheriff’s Office, Mount Pleasant Police Department, New London Police Department and State Division of Narcotics Enforcement agents conducted the search.
