The Mid-Prairie boys’ and girls’ soccer teams will begin their regular seasons tomorrow. The boys will host Clear Creek Amana and the game will begin at 4:30 p.m. They will then travel to West Liberty on Thursday to take on the Comets with the game beginning at 5 p.m. The Mid-Prairie boys were 1-1 in preseason scrimmages, winning over Iowa Mennonite School.

The girls will start their season at Clear Creek Amana tomorrow with the game starting at 4:30 p.m. Their next game will be their home opener versus West Liberty on Thursday at 4:30 p.m.

The Mid-Prairie boys’ and girls’ golf teams tee off their season tomorrow. The boys will travel to the West Liberty Country Club and the match starts at 4 p.m. The girls will have their home opener against West Liberty at the Kalona Golf Club Monday starting at 2:30 p.m.

The Mid-Prairie boys’ and girls’ track teams will be at Williamsburg for a co-ed track meet beginning at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday. On Thursday, the boys track team will travel to Case Field in Washington for a meet beginning at 4:30 p.m. The girls’ track team will travel to Clear Creek Amana on Friday and the meet will begin at 4:30 p.m.

For the boys’ team senior Colin Weber is coming off of a first place finish in the 400 meter dash at Mt. Pleasant last Thursday. Sophomore Levi Duwa had a second place finish in the discus and senior Jared Draper also finished second in the 1600 meter run. For the girls, freshman Anna Hostetter got second place in the 3200 meter run while senior Lexi Duwa got second place in the 100 meter dash.
