Five Iowa Mennonite School seniors were selected for the Southeast Iowa All Star Basketball Game. Athletes selected to these teams are graduating seniors from schools in the Southeast Iowa Super Conference.
IMS players selected on the boys’ side were Peyton Miller, Kirby Shetler, and Danny Lam. Miller was a Second Team All-Conference player and was the second leading scorer for IMS with 10.7 points per game. Shetler was also selected Second Team All-Conference, he was second on the team in steals with 32. Lam was named Honorable Mention and was third on the team in total points with 147.
IMS players selected on the girls’ side were Riley Schmeider and Hannah Miller. Schmeider was named Second Team All-Conference. She led the team in points per game at 13, and rebounds with 130 total. Miller was named Honorable Mention, and led the team in three-point percentage at 30.6 percent.
The games will start today at 5 p.m. starting with girls’ game and followed by the boys’ game at Nortre Dame’s Father Minett Gymnasium in Burlington.
