The addition to a confined animal building was tabled at this week’s Washington County Board of Supervisors meeting due to the proposed location. County Engineer Jacob Thorius explained that the owners Pat Hammen and Mike Hammen are requesting a waiver of enforcement of separation distance due to the limit of building in the 100-foot right of way. The building is near Dogwood Avenue and 160th Street.

Thorius said the building would be 63 feet from the current right of way. Supervisor Abe Miller opposed the idea and suggested building in another location. Thorius stated that the board had approved an exception within the last two years. Young moved to table the item until next week’s meeting.
