The Mid-Prairie boys’ basketball team capped of the 2014-15 season with their annual banquet last night.

Junior Nolan Faselt was named the Most Valuable Player for his team. Faselt the only player with starting experience coming into this the season, led the team in points with 9.2 points per game. He was also awarded All River Valley Conference First Team.

Senior Colin Weber was named best defensive player and best rebounder during the banquet. Weber had 16 total steals and led the team in rebounds with 89. Weber was named to the River Valley honorable mention team.

Other awards given out included most improved player, which was given to Junior Noah Altenhofen. Junior Ryan Cortum won the super hustler award for the banquet. Super substitute award was given to senior Trent Fisher for his efforts off the bench. Best team players were given to senior Devon Young and Cody Knepp. Knepp was also awarded for maintaining a 4.0 grade point average throughout the basketball season. Best practice players were given to senior Matt McGaffey and senior Benny Ahrens.
