Iowa Mennonite School boys’ basketball coach Dwight Gingerich will be honored tomorrow at the halftime of the boys basketball championship game for his historic mark that he reached this past basketball season. The 600th victory came in a win in the alumni game against Winfield-Mt.Union.

Gingerich became the 11th coach in Iowa history to pass 600 wins, all of his with IMS. Gingerich has coached 33 seasons for the IMS basketball team. In that time span he has a total of 609 wins, 29 winning seasons, 19 seasons with 20 or more wins, 12 state tournament appearances, five state finals, and won the 1992 state championship.
