The Keota Eagles girls’ basketball team had their season come to in end a few weeks during the first round of postseason play, losing to Iowa Mennonite School and finishing with an 11-11 record. The Eagles had three players named to the South Iowa Cedar All Conference Team.
Senior Madison Sheetz was placed on the Second Team All-Conference. Sheetz led the team with 273 points and averaged 13 points per game. She also led the team in rebounds with 177 total and field goal percentage at 42.4 percent.
Seniors Madison Sieren and Brooke Sieren were named honorable mentions. Madison Sieren was the Eagles’ best shooter from the charity stripe at 73.8 percent. She also led Keota in assists with 68 total. Brooke Sieren led the Eagles in steals with 45 total.
In addition to Sheetz, Madison Sieren and Brooke Sieren Keota’s other two starters Maggie Baker and Serria Lyle will be graduating this spring.
