The Washington Demon girls’ and boys’ bowling teams won’t have to travel far to participate in this year’s state qualifying meet. The Iowa High School Athletic Association and the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union has named Washington’s Lebowski’s Rock’ n Bowl a 2015 Class 1A State Qualifying Bowling Site.

Bowling Coach Sally Reigard is sexcited her kids have another opportunity to compete in Washington. “It will be nice to be home because we have only had three home meets the last three years.” Reigard said, “To get another chance to be at home will be great.”

The schools scheduled to compete in the event include: Washington, Fairfield, Pella Christian, Louisa-Muscatine, Knoxville and Durrant,

The state qualifying event at Lebowski’s Rock’ n Bowl takes place on Tuesday, February 17th. The girls’ meet begins at 9 a.m. and the boys’ meet scheduled for 1 p.m.
