The Iowa Mennonite School girls basketball team played at home last night looking to get their second victory of the season against conference opponent the Wapello Arrows. As heard on AM 1380, FM 102.5 and KCIIradio.com IMS pulled off the victory 35-28.
The game was close throughout, after the first quarter IMS held on to a four point lead 9-5. By halftime IMS was just up by a basket with a score of 13-11. IMS got it going in the third scoring 22 points in the second half and giving up only 17 points.
IMS was led on offense once again by senior Riley Schmider who nearly had a double-double finishing with 15 points and nine rebounds. Senior Hannah Miller also contributed getting 10 points in the contest.
IMS is now 2-8 and will host Danville (4-6) tomorrow night.
