The Mid-Prairie girls basketball team went into West Liberty last night with both teams looking to get their thrid win of the season. It was a game heard on AM1380, FM102.5 and on KCIIradio.com.

The Lady Hawks would get the victory winning with a score of 50-45. That was despite the 42 turnovers that the Comets forced. Mid-Prairie outscored West Liberty in the first three quarters of play making the score 40-27 after three. West Liberty did storm a comeback going on a 8-0 run in the fourth quarter with all those points coming from West Liberty Freshman Tatum Koenig. West Liberty would get as close as four for a deficit but couldn’t make the necessary plays in the end.

The Lady Hawks were led by junior Ali Regan, she had 13 points and forced five turnovers in the game. Senior Taylor Kurtz nearly had a double-double ending the game with 10 points and nine rebounds. Mid-Prairie also got a spark from freshman Addison Rath coming out of the bench both on offense and defense. She had nine points, eight rebounds, and forced six turnovers.
