The Washington Demon boys basketball returns to action this evening after seven days off. The Demons travel to Muscatine for a non-conference game against the Muskies.

Washington opened the season last Tuesday in Wellman with a 58-35 victory over the Mid-Prairie Golden Hawks. Junior Derek Anding led the Demons in scoring with a career high 23 points and grabbed six rebounds in the victory. The Demons defense proved to be tough for the Golden Hawks by only allowing 11 points in the first half and recording a 25-point lead at halftime.

Muscatine has won the previous six meetings between the schools dating back to the 2008-09 season, including a 58-54 victory last season in Muscatine.

Tonight’s varsity game tips off at 7:45 p.m. at Muscatine High School.
