There is still time to make a float and enter it in Friday’s 20th Annual Lighted Holiday Parade in Washington. Registration is done the day of beginning at 5 p.m. in downtown Washington and forms can be found at MainStreetWashington.org. Director of Main Street Washington, Sarah Sadrakula invites anyone in the community to create a float, whether you’re part of a club, organization or a family looking for something to do during the holiday.
Each year, the parade is held the Friday after Thanksgiving and it begins this Friday at 6 p.m. in downtown Washington. Floats are judged and the only request is that no representation of Santa be on the float, as Santa ends the parade each year and brings in the Christmas season.
