A traffic count is being conducted at the intersection of Highway 1 and Lexington Boulevard, near the Washington Kirkwood Regional Center. Director of the regional center, Tera Pickens, says there is concern over the safety of the intersection so a count of traffic will be done Wednesday. Pickens adds there is increased traffic with the center now open. She states students and staff have been safe so far, although there have been car accidents with injuries in the past. Volunteers are needed for two hour shifts Wednesday (11/19) to count the cars. For more information listen to today’s Washington Page.
