A car accident near Riverside last night sent one person to the hospital. According to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, at approximately 6:54 p.m. near Red Oak Avenue and Highway 22, a car hit a deer west of Riverside and injuries were reported. Edna Marlow of Iowa City was operating the vehicle at the time of the accident. One person was transported by Washington County Ambulance to Mercy Hospital. Iowa State Patrol, Washington County Sheriff’s personnel, Riverside QRS, Riverside Fire Department and Washington County Ambulance responded to the scene.
