The Iowa Mennonite School volleyball team opens up their postseason run this evening.

The Iowa Mennonite School, with a record of 7-25 overall, will travel to North English this evening for a regional matchup with 1-22 English Valleys Bears. IMS is coming into the postseason off a straight set loss to Mediapolis (6-25, 22-25, 12-25) last Tuesday.

Head coach Shannon Miller says despite having the better record, she says her team will not overlook English Valleys. “We don’t have the greatest record, and records don’t necessarily tell the whole story.” Miller said, “We are going to control what we can control on our side of the net.”

The Iowa Mennonite School has three players who have 100 or more kills this season. Those players include seniors Riley Schmieder (128) and Demi Brezina (101), along with junior Natalie Graber (120). Junior Hannah Miller leads IMS with 384 assists this season. Tonight’s match between IMS and English Valleys will serve starting at 7 p.m. The winner of the match will face the winner of the Lone Tree/Rivermont Collegiant match in Lone Tree next Tuesday.
