A scam using the name of a Kalona business has been reported. Technology Services of Iowa was informed on Monday that there is a company soliciting business via computer popup ads that has a similar name to their I Tech computer repair business. According to Technology Services of Iowa, or TSI, they do not solicit business through popup advertising.

TSI, which owns I Tech and Kalona Radio Shack, is warning that if ads indicate your computer is infected with a virus, do not call the number provided as they may attempt to access your computer remotely, compromising any records stored on your computer. The business states that except for unusual scenarios, they do not ask for remote access to computers unless it’s requested by a customer.
