There are three candidates vying for a spot on the Johnson County Board of Supervisors, but only two seats to fill. The three candidates voters will choose from next month are Republican John Etheredge of Lone Tree, Democrat Mike Carberry of Iowa City and Democrat Janelle Rettig of Iowa City.

Two of the candidates are incumbents. Rettig has served on the board for the last four years. Etheredge was elected to fill a vacancy on the board in a special election in March 2013.
