Lake Darling State Park will be rededicated tomorrow, 64 years after its initial dedication. Beginning at 1:30, individuals from the area and on the state level will discuss the economic impact of the renovation, the improved fisheries habitat and the soil and water conservation measures that will ensure the lake doesn’t return to the state it was in before the project began. President of Friends of Lake Darling Fay Vittetoe says after the program, they’ll hold the groundbreaking for the new four season cabins. Vittetoe adds tomorrow’s ceremony marks the anniversary of the dedication that took place at the park on September 17th, 1950 which was attended by the park’s namesake, Jay N. Ding Darling.
