Columbus Junction’s new water treatment plant is expected to be online by October. Jeff Carey, with Columbus Junction Public Works, says construction is wrapping up, and they’ll likely pump water through the new system this week. Also, the city recently had their water tower painted for around $21,000. Carey says the last time the tower received a new coat of paint was in 2003.
