The Washington Demons boys and girls track and field teams went to Fairfield last night for the Southeast conference meet, and came away with quite a few conference champions.

For the girls, Dylann Schluetter was second in the discus, Mckayla Miller was second in the shot put, they were second in the shuttle hurdle, Macy Marek won the 100 meter dash in 13.19, Morgan Kimball won the 400 meter dash in 1:00.89, they won the 4×200 with a team of Kelly Wheeler, Grace Redlinger, Stephanie Fishback and Macy Marek in a time of 1:50.64, Marek won the 200 meter dash in 26.76, they won the 800 meter medley with a team of Wheeler, Dema Giardino, Fishback and Kimball, and they won the 4×100 with a team of Giardino, Redlinger, Fishback and Marek in a time of 51.92.

Washington finished second as a team with 94 points, while Mt. Pleasant won conference with 148 points.

For the boys, Alex Coker won the long jump in 20’4.5”, Tommy Peterson won the shot put in 51’9”, the shuttle hurdle finished second, Coker won the 100 meter dash in 11.4, Noah Lebsack won the 400 meter dash in 51.49, they won the 4×200 meter relay with a team of Tanner Knupp, Carl Sivels, Gage Redlinger and Alex Coker in a time of 1:34.22, and they were second in the 4×100 meter relay.

Washington finished fourth with 59 points, while Mt. Pleasant won conference with 130 points.

Both teams will travel down to Mt. Pleasant on Thursday for the district meet, and a chance to qualify for the state track meet.
