Earth Day is tomorrow. According to the Earth Day Network, the day marks the anniversary of the beginning of the modern environmental movement in 1970. In honor of the day, the Washington Public Library is hosting two events this week. Tomorrow at 9:45 a.m. for preschoolers there is a special story time called, “Let’s Talk Trash” that will discuss recycling, there will also be activities and singing.
LeAnn Kunz, library assistant, states there will be a program for teenagers Wednesday. Sixth through 12th graders are invited to Project Recycled Runway where students will make clothes out of pages of old books. Recycled Runway begins at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday.
