The Mid-Prairie girls soccer team opened the season Monday night at home, falling to Clear Creek Amana by a 3-0 score. The Clippers set the tone in the first half, knocking in two goals midway through the frame while limiting Mid-Prairie to just one shot on goal with a stingy defensive effort. The second half saw more of the same with the Golden Hawks lacking quality chances while the Clippers scored once more to put the match out of reach. Mid-Prairie is now 0-1 on the season, the Golden Hawks host the Washington Demons tonight in Wellman.
