With their first trip planned, the Boy Scout Troop 234 in Kalona is holding a soup supper today to help get them there. Assistant Scout Master Kevin Kromer says they’re traveling to Harpers Ferry this summer to see the Effigy Mounds National Monument. The trip will help the scouts earn their Indian Lore Merit Badge. Tonight’s fundraiser begins at 5 and runs until 7pm at the Kalona Community Center.
