Central Point of Coordination Administrator Bobbie Wulf informed the Washington County Board of Supervisors this week that a hearing with the Department of Human Services and the county was cancelled. This case regarded monies owed by the county that court ordered criminal cases going ot the Mt Pleasant treatment center. Wulf stated that DHS dropped the hearing. County Attorney Larry Brock explained that the attorney general’s office got involved in the case. Washington County will be getting an adjustment of $10,000 to $12 ,000 on billing now.

In August of last year, Wulf addressed the board regarding similar mandates. At that time $78,000 was no longer owed to the state from the county due to legislation. Click here for that story.
