Temperatures dipped below zero last night and with these cold conditions, Amber Talbot, Director of PAWS and More Animal Shelter in Washington, is reminding people to take care of outdoor pets. She reminds people that animals can get frost bite despite their fur. She recommends using straw to help keep pets warm because they can nest in it to keep warm, while blankets can get wet and freeze solid.
Also, keep in mind that stray cats may be seeking warmth in the engines of cars, she reminds people to check their vehicles.
