The Washington Demon wrestling team wrestled their best, but couldn’t get past No. 1 Mediapolis in the district dual final.

Washington wrestled Mount Vernon first and defeated them 40-23 to move on to the final. Mediapolis won their first round against Williamsburg 54-12.

In the championship, it was all MEPO, beating Washington 58-21.

Washington will be in action again on Saturday, with their eight wrestlers wrestling for a chance to go to state at the District meet in Fairfield.
