The WMU boy’s and girl’s basketball teams paired up again for another sweep last night, beating Wapello.
The girl’s game was a low scoring game, in which the Wolves trailed at the half 16-15.
WMU picked it up a little bit in the third quarter grabbing the lead 24-21, and then kept it through the fourth to a 35-31 win.
WMU was led by Layne Davis with 11 points and 10 points from Emily Mathews.
On the boy’s side, they went into halftime tied with Wapello 31-31, but in the second half started to open up their lead and the scoring, getting a four point cushion between them and Wapello after three 44-40. The Wolves poured it on in the fourth taking the 66-55 win.
The Wolves were led by Garrett Baker with 28 points on the night, and won despite having two players foul out.
WMU moves on to play Highland on Monday.
