The vacant At-Large seat on the Highland School Board has been filled. Nick Smith’s resignation on November 19th created the opening that was filled by Tara Black at this week’s meeting. According to Board Secretary, Sue Rich, if a replacement wasn’t found within 30 days of the resignation, a special election would have been held. Tara Black attended school at Highland, and has two children currently enrolled there.
