At approximately 8:20 a.m. yesterday morning, a one vehicle accident with injury was reported on W55 (Wayland Road) south of 297th Place. The driver, Anthony Wilson Delay, did incur minor injuries according to Washington County Sheriff’s personnel. The four-door car left the roadway and entered the south ditch, where it caused damage to a fence. Delay was cited for failure to maintain control.

The Washington Sheriff’s Department, Washington Ambulance, area first responders, Washington Rescue and Iowa State Patrol responded to the scene.
