The Washington Demon girl’s basketball took their second loss of the season on the road on Saturday.

Solon squeaked out the win against the Demons 47-46.

Washington and Solon were tied through the half at 22, but both teams had a quarter in the second half that showcased the offense.

The Demons were first, outscoring Solon 13-6 in the third quarter to go up 35-28 after three, but Solon kept pushing and found a way through the Demon defense and outscored them in the final quarter 19-11 to get the 47-46 win.

Washington was led by a new face in Morgan Kimball with 12 points coming off the bench, going 3-5 from beyond the arc, while another new face coming off the bench was second in scoring with Dylann Schluetter scoring nine.

Washington struggled from the free throw line again though, shooting just 12-31, or 39 percent.

Washington falls to 2-2 overall and plays Ottumwa tomorrow
