Crews handling the restoration of Bunker Mill Bridge will arrive on Friday. According to Managing Director of Friends of Bunker Mill Bridge, Suzanne Micheau, some progress has already been made thanks to the help of volunteers. Members of Kalona’s Amish community removed wood planks from the bridge this past weekend.  Arson is suspected in the fire that damaged the 126 year old bridge in August.
