A Washington man has been denied a new trial. According to the Washington County Attorney’s office, 20-year-old Johnatan Sanchez was denied a motion for a new trial by District Court Judge Randy DeGeest. Sanchez was convicted by a jury in July of four counts of robbery in the first degree, a class B felony. He was found guilty of robbing four teenage boys on March 9th in Washington.

His sentencing will be held on December 16th. The minimum sentence he may receive is 25 years in prison, with a minimum of 17.5 served before being eligible for parole.
