The Washington Demons football team walked away with second place after their first appearance in a state title game. Bishop Heelan Catholic claimed the championship with a 47 to 14 win over Washington. The Demons finish the season with a record of 12 and 2.

The community is invited to a welcome home ceremony and trophy presentation this afternoon at the Washington High School from 2:30 to 3:15 p.m. this afternoon.
