The Iowa Department of Public Health has released its annual report regarding food-related outbreaks last year. The 2012 Iowa Surveillance of Notifiable and Other Diseases Report has been completed. According to the report, IDPH investigated 53 food-related outbreaks. These outbreaks affected more than 800 people in 2012 and the most common was norovirus.
