Eleven historical sites in Washington County will be open tomorrow for tours. The Washington County Historical Sites Committee is conducting the event from 1 to 4 p.m. tomorrow afternoon. Carlton Mangold helped organize the event and in particular worked to help restore and catalog history abou thte Red Brick Country School. Marge Koehler who will be with the Singmaster Mansion in Keota states that those who attend will learn about local history and that is important to pass down to younger generations. A map of the 11 sites can be found at the Washington Public Library.
The 11 sites on the tour include:
– Blair House, Conger House
– D.A.R. Cabin
– F Troop Museum
– Red Brick Country School
– Smith Creek School in Wellman
– Walnut School
– St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Riverside
– Rubio Train Station in Rubio
– Grace Hill Moravian Church
– Singmaster Mansion in Keota
