The Columbus Junction cross country team ran at the Bob Brown invite in Iowa city yesterday for their first meet of the year.

On the boy’s side, the Wildcats finished seventh with 196 points.

Columbus was led by Eli Sents who finished 20th with a time of 18:47. Other scorers for the Wildcats were Josh Keller in 25th with a time of 19:04, Efrain Barajas in 32nd with a time of 19:21, Anthony Garcia in 54th with a time of 20:53 and Adrian Santos in 64th in a time of 21:56

On the girl’s side, Columbus finished eighth with 212 points. The girl’s were led by Taylor Hills who finished 23rd with a time of 17:26.

Other scorers for the girl’s were Claire Hamilton in 38th with a time of 18:44, Zulema Camarena in 47th in a time of 19:56, Grace Chapman in 51st with a time of 20:22 and Ashley Canny in 53rd with a time of 20:29.

The Wildcats run again on Tuesday at Keota.
