After 7 a.m. Wednesday morning a two vehicle accident was reported at Highway 92 and the Louisa/Washington Road. A truck and four door car were traveling westbound when the truck slowed to turn north and the car rear-ended the truck. The sedan came to rest in the north ditch facing west while the truck came to rest in the north ditch facing east. One person was transported by ambulance to the hospital. According to Washington County Sheriff’s personnel, charges are pending.

Traffic was slowed in the area for some time due to the accident.

The accident remains under investigation.

Responding to the scene were the Washington County Sheriff’s department, Washington County Ambulance, Iowa State Patrol and area first responders.
