The Washington Free Public Library is teaming up with area merchants for a summer program for children. The Dog Days of Summer program is underway. Janisa Hanson states that kids can get their “Dog Log” at the library and then visit downtown Washington businesses to find the dogs hidden in the stores. The students then write the name of each dog down on the log and turn it in to the library before August 13th. Hanson says that it is a fun way to get kids into the library and to support local businesses.
