The Washington United Methodist Church is hosting an annual event next week. Pastor Jim Stiles says that the sweet corn fest will be held in the church’s fellowship hall. He explains the proceeds will go to the church refurbishing the women’s restroom. On the menu is sweet corn, a pork loin and dessert among other items. The event will run from 4:30 to 7:30 Thursday, August 1st.
