After recording its driest period in months, southeast Iowa’s fields are being allowed to do away with some excess moisture. According to the Crop and Weather Report issued by the U.S. Department of Agriculture yesterday, Iowa had its driest seven days in over three months, last week. The weather helped drop the surplus moisture in the area’s fields to around ten percent, down from nearly 40% the week before.
