A Columbus Junction man will serve probation and pay a fine for his illegal DVD operation. 50-year-old Arturo Eduardo Cantu was sentenced to three years probation and ordered to pay a $3,000 fine for copyright infringement earlier this week. In July of last year, police found Cantu with over 500 DVDs for sale in a Muscatine parking lot. A subsequent search of his home led to the discovery of numerous computers, external hard drives, DVD burners, 8,000 blank DVDs, and around 1,000 illegally copied DVDs.
