The tax rate approved by the Washington School Board is 14.60476 per $1,000 taxable evaluation. At the board’s regular meeting on Wednesday, Dr. Mike Jorgenson explained that this is a $1.13 reduction from last year and approximately $2.80 less than three years ago.

No debt service items for next year and a vast difference in construction aided in the lower tax rate.
