The Washington boys fell on Friday to Ft. Madison, 75-34.

In the first quarter it was who could make it from downtown, and Kyle Roder and Miles Wentzien answered the call, going back and forth making the score after the first quarter 21-11 Ft. Madison.

After the first quarter, Ft. Madison put their foot on the accelerator, leading 23-39 after half.

In the second half the starters for Washington scored six points, while the bench had 10. Ft. Madison never let up on the three ball either as four players were near perfect from behind the arc, making the lead 59-23 after three and eventually capturing the 41 point win.

Demon head coach Bryce Smeins talked after the game about how there is not much you can do when run into a team playing like the Bloodhounds were.

“Our kids played alright the whole night tonight and gave a great effort against a team that play the best I’ve seen all year and maybe for a long time,” Smeins said.

Washington was led by Roder with 12, all in the first half.

Demons will host Mid-Prairie on Tuesday.
