Parents of students at Lincoln Elementary school have a chance to speak one-on-one with teachers this week. Tomorrow, parent-teacher conferences are from 4:30 to 8. It’s the first of two days available. On Thursday, teachers will also be available from 4:30 to 8. Teachers at Lincoln have especially been working on one particular aspect of literacy. In a newsletter, Principal Dave Hoffman says they’re working on fluency, which is reading quickly and accurately. He says that doing so helps a student better understand what is being read.
